Taking the bus from DC to NY takes a little over four hours, and sets you back $40 for a round-trip. A friend of mine joined me in DC some days earlier, and we decided on going to NY for a day.

It’s 4th of July, Independence Day, I’m walking down towards The Pentagon while swirling a US flag in one hand, while robotically chanting “God bless America”. All to avoid being a victim of the joyous “beat a foreigner” day.

Yesterday I filled the last banana crates in the old apartment, and I am now homeless. How does it feel? Thanks to some good friends, not too bad. Behind me are the two things that I will hold on to this summer; a bag and a backpack. On the agenda: traveling. Where to: not sure. When: not sure. How long: not sure. Where will I wake up one week from now: not sure.

It’s been nothing less than a half year ago since my last post. Since then I have finished my bachelor degree as a computer engineer, worked, lived and traveled with two good people every day of every day, even without anyone killing each other. I have an unpaid hospital bill for $14,085 because of a insurance company’s lacking communications skills, and I’ve acquired some wicked sunburns. Conclusion? So far the best chapter in the book that is Lars.
